🚜🐕 Heading to the Shemozzle this October? Stay the night at Flat Hills! 🐕🚜

The legendary Hunterville Huntaway Festival and Shepherds’ Shemozzle is back on Saturday 31 October, bringing a full day of rural fun, competitions, entertainment, food, and family-friendly activities. The event attracts thousands of visitors each year and is one of the region's most iconic country celebrations.

Planning on enjoying the evening festivities too? Even better!

🎶 The Hunterville Huntaway Festival Committee provides a FREE shuttle bus for those attending the night event, complete with a live band and plenty of good country vibes. The shuttle will drop guests back here at Flat Hills, so you can relax and enjoy the night without worrying about the drive home.

We have to trim the feet of the goats regularly and the goats we have inherited here at Flat Hills are a bit of a challenge to do. Goatie however seems pretty happy just to lay down on the job LOL 🤣🤣🤣

We have been busy in the kitchen this morning!

The horses don’t know what day it is.

They aren’t worrying about tomorrow’s weather, next week’s plans, or yesterday’s mistakes.

They simply wander where the grass is greener, stop when the sun feels warm, and enjoy the company beside them.

Maybe that’s why being around horses feels different.

They remind us that life isn’t always about rushing to the next thing. Sometimes it’s about feeling the breeze, soaking up the last light of the day, and being exactly where you are.

Horses are masters of living in the moment.

Perhaps that’s the lesson they’re trying to teach us. 🐴✨
