The Nurses Home in Reefton is Reefton’s largest accommodation facility, this historic renovated art deco style 30 room guest house offers various types of accommodation options for our guests. We offer a large communal kitchen with a dining and lounge area, a conference room and four large shared bathrooms. We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Operations Support team member to join our close-knit team in a permanent part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week with potential to become full time).
This is a varied and practical role, ideal for someone who enjoys keeping busy and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
About the Role
This position supports the day-to-day operations of the facility and includes:
• Cooking duties – preparing simple, quality meals and covering kitchen operations during rostered days off and leave.
• Room service & cleaning – servicing guest rooms, linen changes, and maintaining presentation standards
• General operations support – assisting with the smooth running of the accommodation facility
• Supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff
Flexibility is essential, with availability to work weekends (Sundays are a must).
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A good understanding of food handling and food safety practices
• Proven experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or similar roles
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of hygiene and presentation
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help across multiple areas
• Good communication skills and reliability
