You wont be disappointed with Villa on Castle, built in 1910, and still very much as it was with a few added comforts of course. Sympathetically restored with the help of local knowledge, I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman who was born here, in the villa, and lived for 30 years, his parents 60 years. All ceiling are Rimu (a native NZ wood) as are the architraves and doors. I have had central heating fitted throughout to make it comfortable and effortless to keep warm. The fireplaces remain as they were in 1910 and give a nice feature to the house. The bathroom has a shower and claw foot bath so you can soak and relax. A modern open plan kitchen with a dining table for 6.
