Happy New Year 2022 to all our guests who had stayed with us. It has been a great start to the new year for us, receiving 4 amazing reviews from our recent guests who stayed with us since Jan 1, 2022. We are very happy to read all the wonderful feedback, once again we have met our guests expectations and delivered a very high level of hospitality. Attended last week’s Rotorua premium tourism operators networking event at Terrace Kitchen. Great to see many familiar faces. Though visitors are thin on the ground, many are still open and surviving well. Also attended Chamber of Commerce Women in Business at Te Puia. Tulips are still abundant in city centre, Spring is definitely blooming, looking forward to a vibrant Summer. We are fully vaccinated and looking forward to welcoming guests back.

So proud of NZ success at the Olympics! We are basking in the glow of our greatest ever medal haul with 20 medals, placing us 13th overall on the medal table. Lisa Carrington is our country's most decorated Olympic athlete with 3 Gold medals in Canoe sprint. Outstanding performance in medals won across 11 sports. I am a proud Kiwi supporter!😊🥳🤩🌹⭐️🎖

Rotorua Tasters Winemaker’s Dinner at TePuia Geothermal Park, Geyser By Night in the back drop. What a beautiful evening, sumptuous 3 course cuisine prepared by chefs at TePuia and wines from Tiwaiwaka, Martinborough. Yours truly organized dinner function for 85 members at club’s annual winemaker’s dinner. Great venue with excellent staff and wonderful setting.

Team New Zealand's 7-3 America's Cup victory over Italian challengers Luna Rossa. So happy that our team has done it again for the fourth time, the America's Cup is still New Zealand's Cup. We are one proud country with 5 million very happy fans😀
The atmosphere down at the Viaduct was incredible, great to be part of the 25,000 people in the vicinity each day leading to Race 10, we managed to watch last 3 days of amazing racing.
Well done to Team NZ, we look forward to 2023!

It was a great weekend of sports events in Rotorua. Hosted 2 couples participated at the Tarawera Ultra Marathon 50km/21km, both runners happy to finish in good times. Also hosted 2 tennis players from Wellington who competed at my local Lynmore Tennis Club Open Tournament. Not quite your Australian Open, however still great tennis to watch 5 mins up the road from us. A great day to out on the boat on Lake Tarawera for another set of our guests. Received some beautiful flowers, chocolates and wine on Valentines Day, what a great weekend of activities.🙂

What a lovely walk to Redwoods Forest newest cafe from the B&B@The Redwoods. 15 mins walk through gorgeous Redwoods and you are in a perfect spot for a bite to eat. Great place to hang out especially after a long walk through the many different fitness level tracks. Opens till late Fri & Sat with Happy Hours, what else not to like about this place! Book your stay with us and leave the car, 1 min walk and you are in the thick of the woods.

Rotorua was buzzing with activities yesterday, many were out shopping at the Farmers Market with many stores doing a roaring trade, last Sunday before Christmas. It was a beautiful sunny day, driving Miss Rotorua at the Santa Parade, great crowd turnout with many families with children cheering along. What a fun way to end the year on a high especially living in Aotearoa, we can be out mingling and feeling safe in a very abnormal year as the pandemic still affects many countries in the world. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.🎄🌻🥂🙂

So proud of Team NZ, crushing win in opener! Great final race of first day, came very close, loss by 12 sec. Very impressive team and boat. Glad to see the Auld Mug when they visited Rotorua 3 years ago.
