See the sun rising behind picturesque farmland, listen to the birds fill the air with their music and admire the Tui and Kereru, our native wood pigeon. Take a glass of your favourite drink, enjoy the romantic country views during the day or a shooting star and full moon at night, while soaking in the spacious hot tub. After your warm open air shower, snuggle into your cosy, fluffy cottage bathrobe or stroll over to the Scandinavian SAUNA. Enjoy the panoramic beauty and views of Lake Rotorua and Mokoia Island from the Bed & Breakfast kitchen window or take in the vista while you prepare your barbecue meal on the large, sunny deck. The fresh, homely, vintage-style interior of our European inspired self-catering cottage has exposed beams and vintage touches throughout. There is a heat pump, air conditioning, fully equipped, self-catering kitchen and two luxurious, inviting bedrooms. This Rotorua accommodation bathroom has a selection of toiletries, electric shaving point, heated towel-rail and a spacious shower. Free wi-fi, flat screen tv, large variety of books, games, toys dressing up clothes and movies available. Trampoline, table tennis, swings, life-sized football goal also available at our Rotorua farmstay. We provide you with breakfast provisions, including cereal, milk, our hens' eggs and beverages. Our quirky hens roam this piece of paradise and provide you with your delicious free range eggs each day, which can be collected by you from the hen-house. A barbecue is also available. Rotorua is a 15 minute drive from Blossom Cottage and is also very central. You can visit nearby cities while based here, including the beach, WAITOMO CAVES, HOBBITON film set in Matamata, and then return to the tranquility of Blossom Cottage at the end of the day. Raft down a waterfall, visit our many beautiful lakes, play golf, go rock climbing or go fishing. Mitai Maori Village, Skyline, Canopy Tours, Luge and Hamurana Springs are only 5 minutes away. Brook Restaurant, your host's favourite restaurant, is a short drive away. Come and meet our endearing hens, friendly cats and alpacas. Children can help collect the freshly laid hens' eggs. Your host Marianne is well- travelled, speaks English and Dutch fluently and can advise you on all the local attractions. Good news to all people looking for a self-contained Rotorua holiday cottage in a stunning location: Blossom Cottage will be re-opening on 1st September 2022! Complete with private hot tub at the cottage and Scandinavian sauna just a 1 mintue stroll away, this Rotorua self-catering accommodation has everything you're looking for: peace and quiet, picturesque views of rolling countryside, forest, and our native Tui and Kereru to keep you company. Not only that, there are alpacas and chickens to interact with and eggs to collect from the hen-house. For the children (and adults?) a playground with swing, trampoline, table tennis and life-sized football goal and green meadows to run around in.

In the meantime, Orchard Studio is open for bookings now and has a guest-suite in French vintage-style with bathroom and kitchenette. Very private with orchard and forest views and neighbouring farmland with cattle. The Scandinavian sauna is available for guests for private sessions and just a hop, skip and jump away. Our second stay at wonderful Blossom Cottage. So peaceful and quiet. The animals such a highlight with our daughter and collecting the eggs such a treat. The hot tub on the deck under a clear sky was our favourite time, with the masses of stars. Thanks Marianne and René for another fantastic stay.

Our honeymoon stay at Blossom Cottage was special for so many reasons: the delicious carrot cake in the cottage when we arrived, the peaceful country setting with views from every angle, meeting the alpacas, ducks and chickens and collecting our own eggs, the huge hot tub, which we sat in while watching the night sky. (We even ventured into the hot tub at 4 am one morning with a cuppa, watching the sunrise as it came up over the hills ……… just magical! Thanks René and Marianne for that suggestion!) Rene offered massages, which he kindly did at the cottage, so that we could relax at Blossom Cottage instead of rushing off to Rotorua city. His massages were fantastic and not expensive and sooooo good. We’re sad to be leaving and really hope to come back one day. Thanks for everything!

We had such a lovely stay at Blossom Cottage and can’t thank you enough for your generosity and hospitality throughout our stay! It was the perfect jumping off point for our adventures in Rotorua, and it was so nice to come home to a cosy place and take a soak in the hot tub after a fun day at mountain biking. Thank you (and the chickens) for a yummy breakfast! We loved feeding our new animal friends. This will surely be one of our favourite memories from our honeymoon.
