A lot of our feedback happens in person, which is always lovely to hear but it is also great to get a notification that someone has left a 5 🌟 review when you have been working hard all day 😁.

Well it is no secret that it is raining 🌧here in Ruakaka, but fear not, we have 5 things to do when you are stuck inside your unit 😔

1. Board games 🎲 we have a selection at Reception for you to get the family dynamics going 😆

2. Watch a movie 🎬 all our units have SKY movies and all our TVs are Smart TVs, so if you want to catch up on your latest binge show now is a great time 🍿

3. Complete a puzzle 🧩 we have a few puzzles to keep you busy for a few hours and take up the dining table

4. Read a book 📖 at Reception we have acquired a small library of books from departing guests that you can make use of

5. Nap 😴 time! You're on holiday after all.

Today we took a couple of hours to thank all the amazing people that help us keep the motel running smoothly. We had a lovely lunch together at Bach Cafe followed by some goodies and Christmas presents from the owner. It is not easy to clean in this heat but we have an amazing team that get in and get it done everyday for our guests. So today we salute 🫡 our amazing team.

Time to introduce ourselves 👋 as of August 2025 we are the new managers here at RBFM. We have been busy getting to know the property and putting our touches on it before the busy summer ahead. We are Kirstine and Shane and we have our two children Paige and Riley who if you are lucky you will see during daylight hours if you lure them out with a bribe. We love getting out for a evening walk along the beach. We are loving our time here and can't wait to make more memories and take RBFM to the next level.
