Cape Brett Backpackers (Julie's House) is a great retreat by the sea in a sheltered bay, where you can launch your boat just 5 minutes drive away. Diving and fishing at your doorstep, or take a short walk to Oke Bay, a fabulous swimming beach, or a longer walk out to Cape Brett (some 7 hours each way). Whangamumu Whaling Station is another wonderful walk taking about 1 hour each way. A drive south

on the coast to Bland Bay and the wonderful Helena Bay Cafe and Gallery are also places to explore. All this just 30 mins drive from Russell village and a great home from which to explore Russell and the wider Bay of Islands with plenty of land or sea activities for everyone. This is a delightful cottage set on a grassy bank surrounded by native bush with the odd house scattered around the area. The main house has three bedrooms, a great kitchen and decks overlooking the sea and there is a separate and completely self-contained kiwi Bach, almost directly behind the house, that also has two bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom of its own. The garage has an adjoining sleepout with a kitchenette and four single beds. Plenty of room for extended family or a group of friends to enjoy. If you are a boatie, this property has everything you need with plenty of room to park the cars and boats too. Whether you are an action person or just want to rest a while, this holiday home and its environs have something for you. Spending time on the deck just watching the changing seascape is a very pleasant pastime. Several spaces for you to relax, in the deck out front, on the grass down the bank, beside the beach, garden pergola and in the back garden under the trees. Features:
- We accommodate up to 15 people each night. There are 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 toilets, and two lounges.

- Private and communal rooms are available.

- Linen, towels and duvets are provided free of charge.

- We provide WIFI free of charge, and guests are welcome to use the BBQ.

- There is lots of parking space for those doing the Cape Brett Walkway
