It was on this day in 1932 that the last spike was hammered in to connect the Stratford to Okahukura Line (SOL). Completing a 31 year construction project on the most expensive railway (per km) ever built in NZ.

G'd day everyone, we were driving around the mountain yesterday and he presented us with this beautiful picture and having the camera with us we wanted to share his magnificence with you. The first covering of snow is finally here. For any ex Taranaki dwellers, come home, you know you want to.

Another celebration for us is Joyce has moved up to a 9.6 average with Booking.com from 91 reviews, so what a star, quality with a smile goes a long way, well done.

We have just got back from a lovely week away in Napier, Hawks Bay. What a beautiful Art Decco preserved town. Welcome to Stratford the Super Stock Car Racers, we were very happy to have car number 351 and its happy go lucky team stay with us for the weekend. These are Paul in action, bad luck on the day, but the final race was carnage for the guys leading, all taken out, so right choices on the day, best wishes to you all.
