Waitangi Weekend at Tairua Beach Club & Pauanui Kitchen Pop-Up ✨

As we come together this Waitangi Day, we take a moment to honour the whenua and the moana that sustain us here in Tairua. We are grateful every day for the kaimoana gathered from these waters, and we acknowledge Ngāti Hei, the tangata whenua of this place, whose deep traditions of fishing and guardianship began long before us.

The ancient middens that surround our restaurant remind us that others have cared for and thrived from this coastline for generations. We recognise and respect that legacy, and we remain committed to operating in a way that upholds the mana of this beautiful environment and the community we are privileged to be part of.
