It's scenery like this that make Tapanui a hidden gem.

💚 Brooksdale Road, Tapanui turning on the mid morning charm — blue skies, green paddocks, the Blue Mountains and a little creek leading the way. Just another day in our ridiculously photogenic corner of the world.

Another lovely guest checked out of Blue Mountains Loft today and left this rather nice 5-star review. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Carolyn was here to attend a couple of events and particularly loved the Loft's location, decor and styling — along with arriving to a nice warm space on a chilly West Otago day!

Being right on the main street meant she could walk between the two venues she needed to get to; the Community Centre and the Forest Lodge Hotel.

Thanks for staying, Carolyn. It was a pleasure having you. 💙

🔥 Tapanui's Blue Mountains Loft B&B just got hotter! 🔥
We're excited to announce that we just added another heatpump to our accommodation, making it not only a funky pad to stay in but a toasty one too.

Our latest Mitsubishi Electric heatpump has been installed above our back door providing a constant flow of heat to the bathroom, shower room and kitchen areas.

Each year in Tapanui on Christmas Eve, the town hosts a Christmas Parade. Our Airbnb is on the main street and so the parade literally passed in front of the main window. Just another reason to book a Christmas in Tapanui come 2026!

It was such a pleasure for us to host Julie and Richard from British Columbia for eight days over Christmas, they are such lovely people. Then to receive this review, well that just made the experience for us next level. It warms my heart to know that travellers are finding us and loving our town.
