Each year in Tapanui on Christmas Eve, the town hosts a Christmas Parade. Our Airbnb is on the main street and so the parade literally passed in front of the main window. Just another reason to book a Christmas in Tapanui come 2026!

It was such a pleasure for us to host Julie and Richard from British Columbia for eight days over Christmas, they are such lovely people. Then to receive this review, well that just made the experience for us next level. It warms my heart to know that travellers are finding us and loving our town. We can't wait for Julie and Richard's return visit.

❄️If you're planning to visit Tapanui West Otago during the next couple of months, be sure to pack your Winter woolies and your slippers. There is snow on the mountains, a frost on the ground, and that cool air is as fresh as can be. Winter has landed peeps! 🌨
