CYCLONE GABRIELLE

At Redcliffe Homestead we were very, very lucky. In spite of a few anxious hours, we still have a home, with just a bit of a mess outside.

Thousands of people have been left homeless, many with only the (wet) clothes they escaped in. It would be fantastic if you would consider making a donation to one of the funds listed below. They are all based in Hawke’s Bay and the donations will go directly to those individuals who need help the most.

Great News!
The end of isolation for all visitors to NZ is in sight:

From 11:59pm, 12 April fully vaccinated Australian citizens and permanent residents can enter New Zealand.
From 11:59pm, 1 May 2022 visitors from countries who do not need a visa (visa waiver countries) and visitors from other countries who already hold a valid visitor visa can enter New Zealand.

That's just about everyone!

Passport holders of some countries and territories do not have to apply for a visa before they travel to NZ but must hold an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority).

Well I know I have said before that we are almost back to normal, but let's just say we are open!
Vaccine Passes are not exactly as welcoming as hugs and handshakes.
However we all need the social contact, even at a distance. Why not plan a break to come and eat your way around the foodie paradise that is Hawke's Bay?

Who knows what is around the corner? (Apart from weird things growing in the garden)
