Our thermal spas will give you a unique and extraordinary experience all thanks to Papatūānuku’s (mother earth’s) gift in our waters. Nourishing minerals in the water provide endless health benefits. Here a just a few examples:

Sodium: Same saline level as salt water, soaks have shown effect in relieving arthritis symptoms. Potassium: Normalises heart patterns, helps reduce high blood pressure, frees the body from toxins, encourages healthy skin. Sulfate: As an anti-inflammatory mineral, it promotes bone, hair, nails, joint fluid, and vertebral disc health. Boron: Enhances brain activity, builds muscle mass, and strengthens bones. Iron: Improves the quality of blood, and resistance to stress and disease. It also prevents fatigue and advocates good skin tone. And many more…

The temperature of each pool can be adjusted to your personal preference in a simple manner, further enhancing your holiday experience. All you’ve got to do is layback and heal your mind, body, and soul. SANITATION:
All white linens at VU Thermal Lodge are cleaned and supplied by the commercial cleaning company ‘Central Linen Services’. The same quality linens are also cleaned and supplied to 5-star hotels in our area. This ensures that the bedding and towels we provide have undergone deep cleaning and sterilisation, securing all our guests a safe and comfortable duration of stay. ENVIRONMENT:
At VU we care about how we are impacting the planet. A small step makes a big difference, here are a few things we do to promote that change:

1. Reusable power: our hot water and outdoor swimming pool are geothermically heated
2. Refillable shampoo, shower gel, and handwash gel that are all NZ made (supplied by Natural Earth AMH) to reduce single use plastic
3. Regular floor care: we steam and vacuum our carpets with no chemicals involved!
