Our team is deep in winter‑pruning training at the moment, learning everything from wood selection to cane spacing to achieving the perfect canopy fill. It’s a lot to take in, but they’re doing incredibly well.

Here, Mica is showing us exactly the bay standard we’re aiming for — she’s laying down the foundation for a productive season ahead and absolutely nailing it.

We know there are a lot of work options at this time of year in the Bay of Plenty, but here's why you should choose to work with us at Cultivate:

- We have FREEDOM camping available at an beautiful organic farm in Aongatete, close to the orchards we will be harvesting and pruning.
- For those wanting a little more than the freedom camping option, we also have a facilities block available for staff to camp outside and use for a small fee. For the next two weeks, we will be offering a discounted rate of $100 per week for this, limited spaces available so email now to secure a spot!
- We pay a competitive bin rate, aiming to get staff earning around $30-35 dollars per hour. We also have bin bonuses in place for those who stay for the whole season!
- We have an awesome core team; with respectful and supportive supervisors, experienced machinery operators and an organised operation to make sure harvest runs as smoothly as possible. We also have great casual staff join us and often find people make great friends to make their time with us fun and memorable. The pizza and beer/drink nights after work help!
- We also know that harvest work can be inconsistent, particularly in the early start weeks, so we have other work we can offer throughout the season to keep our staff earning well and to keep things exciting.

• Kiwifruit harvest can be stop‑start, but your hours don’t have to be. At Cultivate, we mix harvest + orchard work, so you stay busy, earn steady hours, and make the most of the season.

• When we aren't picking on the weekend, we have our weekends off!

• On-site, facilities provided camping available for those with self-contained vans or tents.
