If you are planning a ride on the Atiamuri section of the Waikato River Trails, please be aware that logging operations are scheduled to begin on Monday 19th October 2026, with logging trucks operating on the forestry road between Ohakuri Road and the farmland.

What you need to know:
โ€ข ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—น๐—น ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป and the section of trail from Atiamuri Village to the end of the farmland will be unaffected.
โ€ข Logging trucks will be operating Monday to Friday, 4am to 4pm on the forestry road.
โ€ข Work is currently scheduled to continue until late January 2027, but there will be a 2 - 3 week break over Christmas.
โ€ข Signage will be in place at both ends of the operation to alert trail users.

If you're planning to ride this section, please take extra care, follow all onsite signage and instructions, and be aware of vehicle movements along the access road.

Been a busy weekend for us at the park this weekend, a lot of smilimg faces with the sun shining and the swimming pool was busy today.

Days like this make me very grateful to be able to work in such a beautiful place.

I hear the Te Arohe market was very busy today, the market grows bigger every year with some very talened locals selling there goods great job to the organisers.
