PSA - A quick reminder about the planned power outage this Sunday 7:30am to 6:30pm for the whole Ōpōtiki district. Charge up those 🔋📱 people....it is 11 hours again 🙀.

Most people will have seen the notices on radio, newspaper and online from the folks at Transpower NZ and Horizon Networks but please PLAN AHEAD for the outage this Sunday. That means planning for your personal household (particularly those who need medical equipment etc), but also checking before you travel as many businesses, cafes, and other services may not be open due to the power outage.

For council that means:
✅ Ōpōtiki and Te Kaha RRCs will be open as usual
❌ isite will be closed
❌ council offices, Waihau Bay RRC, and Te Tāhuhu o Te Rangi do not open on Sundays.

There is a list of ways you are prepare on the Transpower website (link in the comments).

Thanks to the crews doing the mahi for a long day on a Sunday.

Big mihi to our awesome hāpori for all your support during our pizza menu trial!
We really appreciate your patience and understanding while we found our rhythm and made it all work. We've taken on your feedback, advice, and even the tough love — and we're stoked to now roll out our finalised pizza menu, with a couple of tasty new additions!

Pizzas are available for takeaway from 5pm to 7pm daily. We aim to have it running every day, but sometimes things pop up that are out of our hands.

We can also cater for larger groups if you give us a bit of notice — perfect if you're shouting your roopū lunch or need some kai for a hui. This is the tahi!🍕🍟
