We sell all the accessories you need for your day on the mountain: gloves, hats, socks, neakwarmers, goggles, helmets, thermal underwear, wax, skis /snow boards for all ages and abilities. You can hire snow boots/goggles/gloves/jackets and pants for an inexpensive day on the mountain. We can repair/sharpen/wax and fine tune all makes of skis and snowboards. We retail popular brands of skis and snowboards bindings and ski boots.

These very cold dry frosts are spectacular at the moment do you agree?
Wrap up warm with some great snow clothing from Snowscene [get ya skis and boards as well] and head on up to te maunga.

Guess what!? The Delta Chairlift is opening today at Whakapapa, Mt Ruapehu whoop whoop! Thank you team for getting these runs built, prepared and ready to cruise!
The Delta is a great progression for learners...not too steep, nice and undulating. Snow will be mint too!

When the Kaimanawa’s look this good you know it must be good up the maunga!

We had a nice 50cm dump of cold dry crisp snow over the weekend, setting us up for a fantastic week with yet more to come!

Not far away now from fully opening all the lifts…STOKED!

In the meantime, at Whakapapa, Sky Waka opened today for intermediate skiing and boarding…it looks MINT up there!

At Pure Turoa, nearly all lifts are spinning and we hear a whisper that the High Noon Express is very close…EPIC!

Here’s a shot of a fitout we did this morning…great gear, relaxed warm shop, and excellent service. We pride ourselves on attention to detail…making sure the boots fit well and the correct gear to match your style and ability.

Avoid the queues, call in to store on your way to the mountain and we will fit you out pronto. Then you can go straight to the lifts once you get to the base – EASY AS!

You can even fit out the afternoon before [no extra charge]. Our late night Friday night starts this week too…we will be open every Friday night until 9pm from now on. Get fitted out then straight to the trails on Saturday.

If you are heading to Snowland to play, pop in and grab some nice warm gear, we have all the clothing, walkboots, goggles and gloves you need for a great time on the mountain.

Welcome to our winter playground [aka Mt Ruapehu region] this Matariki Weekend.

Wow, look at the Kaimanawa mountains from the last storm…its been great to see some regular snowfall over the past couple of weeks…long may it continue.

We are open 7 days a week from now until the end of the season. At this stage our hours are 7.30am to 6.00pm daily. Our late night Fridays will start around the end of July.

Whakapapa, Mt Ruapehu has opened the Rangatira chair along with Happy Valley open for skiing and boarding, plus Snowland for sledding and playing, along with Sky Waka for sightseeing.

Turoa has the Alpine Meadow learners area open plus Parklane chair as from today. Potentially something up higher may come into operation this week.

Get ya snow dances going and hopefully mother nature can provide some more of the cold white stuff real soon! It will be great to see you in store this winter.

Did you know the streets of Tokaanu are named after stars or constellations?
We are on Puanga [Rigel] St about 200m from Matariki [Pleiades] St and in between Kōpū [Venus] St and Atutahi [Alpha Centauri] St.
Other street names include Marama [moon], Mangaroa [milky way], and Tariao [Mercury].
