Happy new year everyone. Please be advised that this Lodge page will be discontinued at the end of January.

The Committee has taken the decision to streamline the Club's Facebook presence (going from three pages to one), integrate the Lodge communications into the Club's wider communications, and move our discussion page from Facebook to a new WhatsApp community.

Club members are encouraged to join the Club's main page (https://www.facebook.com/WTMCNZ) and the new WhatsApp community (https://chat.whatsapp.com/ErA27BxOsQH9pTKSSL0VSe) to stay up to date with the Club's activities.

The Club wants to thank the volunteers who have maintained this page, especially Tony Gazley in recent years.

Thank you,

Daniel Madley
WTMC President

Happy holidays from the Ruapehu Lodge
***************************************
Some changes are coming to the Lodge page in 2026 - watch this space.

In the meantime the WHL summer gondola pass is a steal - and the carrot soup at Pātaka as good as ever. Of course the walks in our dual heritage National Park remain endlessly amazing.

Get up to the lodge and try the real deal for yourself.

That’s a pity you weren’t staying at the lodge and skiing, boarding or whatever took your fancy on Saturday because you missed a bonza day.

All the lifts except the Far West were spinning, the weather was perfect and there was a good coverage of spring snow especially on the top lifts where there was truckloads.

There were a lot of happy skiers and boarders on the lifts and a good few walking or skinning to the summit for a top to bottom run.

And if you wanted to get away from the skiers then all you had to do was what Sarah did and wander to the summit of Paretetaitonga for some solitude and the best view around.

So you should cruise up to the lodge to get your share while it’s all so good. Check out the WTMC Lodge Webpage for booking details.

IT’S GOOD TIMES AT THE WTMC RUAPEHU LODGE

Winter is slowly arriving at Mt Ruapehu and it’s a wonderful time to be at the lodge:

Great skiing and sledding for kids and learners in Happy Valley.

Rangatira chairlift open for Rock Garden skiing.

Delta chair is open.

WHL is working hard to get Express open for top to bottom gondola skiing.

Plus of course anytime is a good time for day hiking trips from the lodge.

Come on up and spend some time with us.
