It's been a little while since our last post, but we've been busy sharing Tuakau Bridge Motorhome Park with motorhome travellers around New Zealand.

Last month we attended the NZMCA Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show in Christchurch. It was great meeting people who already knew us, and just as many who were discovering our little riverside stopover for the first time.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat. We look forward to welcoming you beside the Waikato River on your next journey between Auckland and Hamilton.

Have you stayed with us before, or are we still on your travel list?

Day 2 at the 2026 Covi Super Show here at Auckland Showgrounds.

Lots of great conversations so far — always a pleasure chatting with fellow travellers and road trip lovers.

One topic that keeps coming up: caravan vs motorhome 👀
Some say caravans hold their value better (and can be resold later), while motorhomes offer that easy, all-in-one lifestyle (but tend to depreciate more).

We’re curious…

Are you Team Caravan or Team Motorhome?

P.S. Caravans are absolutely welcome at Tuakau Bridge Motorhome Park too — just let us know when booking so we can do our best to allocate a slightly larger spot for easier access.

A great way to wrap up the year with our Palms on George Hospitality team at Tuakau Bridge Motorhome Park.

Today was all about slowing down, reconnecting, and having a good laugh together after a big year. We kicked things off with a Taskmaster-style challenge, featuring some very creative problem-solving — from building the tallest tower to the hanging challenge (teamwork really does make the difference!).

To top it off, we shared tacos from Fernando’s Tacos, because supporting local is just as important as supporting each other

Huge thanks to our incredible teams across Palms on George Hospitality Group — your energy, humour, and willingness to jump into the fun is what makes this group so special.

Here’s to a strong finish to the year and an even better one ahead 💛

Nikau Caves is a favourite with both locals and travellers passing through — glow worms, limestone formations, and a scenic rural drive just out of Tuakau.

Make sure you come prepared for the cave tours. More on this link https://www.nikaucave.co.nz/caving

Such a cool addition to any NZ road trip.
