Making a place where travelers can relax and meet Kiwis and where kiwis can relax and meet

In March, I sowed a mixed green crop (mustard, lupin, oats, and radish) after the potatoes. It hit 30cm—mostly mustard (note to myself)—so today was chop-and-drop time! This adds nutrients and cleaned the soil.

I drenched it in a homemade cocktail of seaweed, comfrey, and some EM to add and boost the good bacteria and speed up breakdown. To finish, I’ve tucked it in with some "AP Show" horse manure and straw (thank you!) to keep the soil warm, suppress weeds, and build nutrients over winter. Bring on spring planting! :)
