๐ฟ Babywearing Week Downunder: Waikato
This week (March 9โ15), we join families across Aotearoa to celebrate the connection, convenience, and "everyday magic" of carrying our pฤpi close.
Why We Wear Our Babies
Bonding: Supports emotional connection and responsiveness.
Freedom: Navigate the Hamilton Gardens or the supermarket hands-free!
Support: Helps with unsettled babies and early parenting transitions.
Safety First: The T.I.C.K.S. Check
Our theme for 2026 is TICKScheck. Before you head out, ensure baby is:
Tight: Carrier is firm and secure.
In view: You can see babyโs face just by looking down.
Close enough to kiss: Their head should be right under your chin.
Keep chin off chest: Ensure a clear airway (at least one finger gap).
Supported back: Baby should be in a snug, natural position.
