Hi there folks.
Winter passed with little damage but too wet to garden so found a delightful couple who came to my rescue. Very hard workers. If anyone is looking for help I recommend them. Just pm me.
Summer has been one out of the box. Hot hot hot.
People coming and going visiting our wonderful area.
My home has had family and friends staying which is always full on.
The gardens at BIRD song have changed in the last year and some of the fruit trees that I planted are already giving back. Great to share plus my chooks have also been a bonus offering of their eggs.
I've recently put my piece of Paradise on the market, sadly.
Life throws up things along your journey so I'm embracing a new beginning.
Off to walk the Camino Santiago walk in April so unless someone wants to house sit and look after the accommodation I'm blocking it til I get back.
All is wonderful.

Summer is here by the feel of the heat from the sun.
Had the windows cleaned by Nev"s Window Cleaners and do they sparkle and shine.
The flowers from the plants in and around the house are spectacular. Must admit though so are the weeds.
Will start on that task this week in earnest.

Rain rain rain. .
It's been the wettest winter spring that I've known here in Waikino. The grounds are sodden and sad to say my gardens are behind in the developing stage. Never the less onwards and upwards I will go. Going to spread some mulch today come rain or shine .
Birds are singing so life here is wonderful.

Planted a grape to grow over some of the pegola in the weekend. The Passionfruit vine is starting to climb up on the northern end of the pegola. Imagine in another year there will be yummy food to share while sitting enjoying life at BIRD song. 😎

Sad to say that my camera on my phone has stopped .But needless to say I've been planting like a madman / woman and just bought another 70 plants that will go in ground over the next week. Arbour Day will see me on my knees planting.
Tomorrow I'm planting native plants in our local reserve.
Went down to the Wairarapa recently and saw many a friend and collected new resources so as I keep saying watch this space / place. Feeling great.

It's been a long time since I've posted anything about what where I'm up to.
Today I finished planting around the Pergola with Mondo grass that my sister Wendy gave me. The Pergola was built last week and it's fabulous. Outside living for my guests to enjoy. Having had my open home last month I feel very happy with what I've achieved. Thank you to every one that's been there for me.I welcome people's thoughts and ideas and say....... onwards and upwards

The past few days I've hosted my family from Auckland way. Really pleased that nor only have they enjoyed our wonderful hospitality in waihi but the peaceful feeling here at BIRD song accommodation. So lovely that family can come and enjoy our wonderful piece of paradise.

It's been a while since I posted a pic of the near complete accommodation house. Gardens are coming ahead in leaps and bounds. Long days working hard to have up and running very soon.

Will it's been a long two days painting the sifets.
Had some help from Jane and Kevin Kinghan which was so fantastic. Some colour even made it onto the walls. My hair has a few new streaks in it too.😃
Bit dark to take pics but will do tomorrow.
