A big thank you to everyone who attended the Upper Ongarue Catchment Group stream health day yesterday.
Despite the rain, we had a great turnout!
Everyone learnt heaps about protecting our waterways and identifying the indicators for a healthy stream.
We were even lucky enough to have our whio make an appearance, one of the best indicator species for a healthy waterway.

⚠️The first half of the trail from Pureora to Piropiro is being worked on. Department of Conservation teams will continue to clear the final sections on Monday.

✅The second half is open from Piropiro to Ongarue is OPEN.
