Thrilled with our new acquisition of an original artwork by talented local artist Julia Sternkopf.

Julia, originally from Germany and now based in Wanaka, is an up and coming landscape artist. Julia moved to New Zealand in 2018, and instantly fell in love with the awe inspiring scenery. Julia’s love for nature taught her how to paint, spending many hours exploring the outdoors and discovering, observing and recording what she sees.

Julia aims to go beyond what is just seen, by focussing more on what is felt.

This piece will be hung at Wanaka Springs.

In addition to accommodation Uara Kapua is committed to improving both our local area, and national charitable partners through mentoring, sponsorship and direct donations.

A portion of our revenue goes towards supporting the Himalayan Trust. This wonderful New Zealand based charity has been committed to improving the educational outcome and health care of people in the Everest region since 1961.
