Beervana was a huge success in Wellington last year and it's coming back to town this week!

The New Zealand International Film Festival in Wellington is currently in full swing until the 8th August. Presenting the a wide range of short and feature films across all of Wellington's theaters - this cinematic experience is not to be missed!

Close to The Setup on Dixon you could see films at Paramount, Nga Taonga Sound & Vision, Te Papa and at the great Embassy Theatre. Just ask a member of our front desk team if you're not sure how to get to your chosen venue.

We've recently stumbled onto a great little website that collectively showcases how neat and brilliant our capital is. Here you can find the best in food and drink, nightlife, shopping, arts and events under one roof.

This website also expands to include New Zealand's three other major cities as well so if you're doing a big tour of the country - check those pages out too!

Expedia's amazing blog has just written a post about sustainable zoo's around the world and has counted Wellington's Zoo as a part of this list! Not only that, but as a place to stay for visiting Welly Zoo - The Setup on Dixon is one of the blog's preferences.

There's always plenty of food and drink specials around Wellington the night of a big test match.

Try The Green Man Pub, Portlander, Dockside or the Foxglove for a well-priced pre-game drink or meal on the way to the Westpac Stadium this evening.

Hang around town afterwards for a hawkers feast at The Wellington Night Market around the corner from The Setup on Dixon on Lower Cuba Street or check out one of Wellington's awesome sports bars like Five Stags on the corner of Manners Street and Taranaki Street then come back to The Setup on Dixon for some well deserved shut-eye.

Coming to Wellington for the big game on Saturday? We've still got two rooms left at The Setup on Dixon up for grabs.

Both of our two bedroom apartments are still available on Saturday 18th June starting from $389 for the night. This is perfect if you're wanting to share the cost between four people for the big night. Both apartments include a full kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundry facilities as well as access to free WiFi. One apartment features a double and two single beds in each of its rooms and the other apartment contains two queen beds.

Our accommodation is super close to Westpac Stadium where the game is being held. The Setup on Dixon is around twenty five minutes walk to the stadium itself via the Wellington waterfront. There is also a major bus stop across the road from The Setup on Dixon on Manners street where the buses can take you to the game in no time for just $2. Just ask at our front desk if you need help getting there.
