A lot goes into creating a new menu. The research, the inspiration, the creativity, the skill, the crafting, the time – our talented culinary team have been hard at work bringing our new Gastro Menu to life.

And with all that time, care and attention going into creating each dish, it's only fair that we put just as much commitment into the very important job of TASTE TESTING! 😋

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it!

Our Swan crew gathered around the table to sample the new dishes, share their thoughts and give our chefs plenty of feedback before the final touches are made. A little sneak peek behind the scenes, with some very happy taste testers.

Our new Gastro Menu launches late October and we can't wait to share it with you!

The Swan is teaming up with Brewtown Upper Hutt to get our Wairarapa locals over the hill for one EPIC day of live music on Saturday 23 January 2027! With SIX60, Katchafire, The Black Seeds, Troy Kingi, Ria Hall, and TIKI TAANE all taking the stage, this is one summer event you won't want to miss!

And we've made getting there (and back!) easy 🚌

Dress dapper, get behind the wheel of your classic car and drive for men's health this September 🎗

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive returns to the Wairarapa on Sunday 27 September, bringing together pre-1986 cars and their drivers for a day of motoring and camaraderie while raising funds and awareness for men’s health.

The drive starts and finishes at The White Swan, with registration from 9.30am and engines starting at 10.45am.
From there, you’ll head through the Wairarapa to Farriers in Masterton before making your way back to Greytown for prize-giving.

Last year’s Wairarapa Drive became the largest Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive in New Zealand and the country’s top fundraising Drive, so let's keep those records again this year! 🏆
