We are fast approaching the end of the season with our last booking this coming Friday. The nights are crisp and the mornings are met with frost ❄️
We have a forecast of 3 degrees celsius overnight for our guests but have forewarned them to rug up and bring their hardiest boots and coats🥾🧥
While it may be cold it is ironically the best time to experience the night sky as it will be clear and the stars will be sparkling - in their element ✨
We have blocked the calendar through to Labour Weekend but if you are hardy, and really want to experience a true rural getaway in the colder months we will do our best to accommodate. Message us here through social media and we will unblock the Air BnB calendar just for you.
Tonight has been alive with the bang and pop of local farmers sighting their rifles in preparation for the duck hunting season which is fast approaching 🦆
It’s all part of the environment and the experience here at Sleepy Hollow 🦉✨🏕️

As the evenings grow colder we’re starting to wind down 🍂
We will be hibernating until Labour Weekend when the days are warmer ☀️
It is a fairweather site and keeping the tent fully stocked with wood which is depleted daily is just not viable 🔥
It has always been the intention to operate Labour Weekend through to the end of April and we are on track.
It’s been a cracker of a first season though and we couldn’t be happier! 🤩
We’d like to thank all who have stayed with us and enjoyed the mystical magic that is Sleepy Hollow 🏕️🦉🦆✨
We shall see you again soon 👋🏼💫

Yet another incentive! The balloon festival is renown and a sight to behold.
Lucky for you we are running a weekend special - $350 for 2 nights at Sleepy Hollow.
We are even in the flight path - the silent magnificence in the early morning as they slowly rise over the trees is awe inspiring.
I cannot recommend it enough.

The magical Wairarapa Balloon Festival 5-day event is fun for the whole family, with balloons filling our skies! Pack a picnic filled with local treats and head outside to spot the balloons overhead. Each morning balloons will take off from a different town.

On for Easter, Thursday 28 March - Monday 1 April.
