Welcome to Whanganui River TOP 10 Holiday Park on the banks of the mighty and mysterious Whanganui River. Whether you need a quality scenic motel, backpacker-style accommodation or a spot to pitch your tent or caravan, we've got all of them! Our park is centrally and perfectly situated as an overnight spot to or from the Interisland ferry or a relaxing day's drive from Taupo, Rotorua, Waitomo,

Hamilton, Napier or New Plymouth. So you can really get out and explore from a great base here, next to the mighty Whanganui River and in the ski season, we are only a 90 minute drive from the start of the ski fields at Ohakune and Turoa! Sink into our private hot spa pool or splash about and cool off in our outdoor swimming pool which is heated to a stunning 30 degrees from September school holidays to Easter Weekend in April. Our friendly, family park boasts great communal facilities: including a games room, bouncing pillow, adventure playground, large kitchen, dining and BBQ area. Whanganui River TOP 10 Holiday Park is the ideal base for exploring Whanganui – its rich history, simply gorgeous Victorian and Edwardian buildings, Virginia Lake, the nearby beaches, the many heritage sites set in lush countryside, the charming café culture of Whanganui’s main street and, of course, the jewel in our crown – The Whanganui River herself. Board the traditional Paddle Steamer the Waimarie and journey up the river, or hire a kayak from our office and take a lovely 5, 8 or 25 km paddle downstream. Join a tour to the Bridge to Nowhere a 10/10 experience for all the family or just enjoy watching the river flow by and out to sea as you picnic on the riverbanks right here at the park.

Congratulations to all our Easter Weekend Winners!! We were lucky enough to have the Golden Egg this year and one lucky whanau has a $500 voucher to spend at any of the awesome 49 TOP 10 Holiday Parks - what an amazing prize!
And we had 2 lucky winners from our colouring competition and lots of lucky egg hunters who found the special eggs to claim their boxed eggs.

Congratulations to our wonderful Easter Colouring Competition Winners. We couldn't choose just 1 this year, so we had 2 winners! Well done to everyone that entered, there was some super colourful work this year. 🤩🌟🐰🐰🐰
