Check out the amazing flower on our ornamental banana palm in The Loft courtyard! Its huge! The palm must love it there because we have a few of these palms on the section and they have never flowered like this 😍

Creating new breakfasts at The Loft Guesthouse..today was
Home fresh free range eggs cooked in olive oil, mixed with fresh parsley and spring onions from the garden, homemade crispy onion and potato Hashbrowns, topped with Al Browns famous 'Hi Viz' Tumeric Oil served with a delicious spicy tomato Salsa! DELICIOUS!

With the current Covid-19 situation, we do acknowledge that there are people needing to self isolate upon entry to the country. We support this and welcome anyone in the situation needing to do so. We do have some availability. Please check.our website. The guesthouse is completely separate to our home, and the members of our household all fall into the least affected category. Extra precautions will be made with cleaning and we urge that anyone staying must keep very clean, washing hands, and following all of the Health Guidelines promoted on the internet. While there are limited cooking facilities inside, there is a bbq which is free for use outside featuring a side burner for boiling or pan frying. There is a decent fridge/freezer for supplies and we are in an area where you can order groceries in via internet shopping from most of the supermarkets in the area. For anyone non isolating, we will be following self isolated stays with a full deep clean of all surfaces, linens, pillows and more.

Today we went for a walk at the local Quarry gardens to do some investigative work on planting for The Loft gardens. Creating a tropical oasis for our guests to relax in is high on the priority list a the moment.
The Quarry gardens are such a beautiful sight (even in the 29 degree heat today 😅) we took a picnic and had a great time with the girls. We get them to 'find' a number of different coloured items which always makes it a bit more fun for the lazy ones 😄
It is definitely a gem and a must see on your trip to whangarei!

Met up today with my fellow BnB owners and good friend at one of the cafe's she most recommends to her guests - Milk & Honey in Kamo. I can see why! Food and drinks were alternative and yummy. Thouroughly enjoyed 👌 Although it is on the other side of town it is defintely worth a stop on your way to the BOI and far north!
