Waitangi Treaty Grounds after 18years in New Zealand we visited and only 1 hour away Waitangi what a great place to visit from the guided tour Museum entertainment and grounds well worth the trip but we needed 2 days not 1.

Today our guided tour took us to the Otaika Valley walkway just 1.5 kilometers from home. An early start to avoid the heat but the guys decided to take a shortcut, the detour added an extra hour to the walk through Bush farmland and a residential area with lovely views over the Valley. We came across a massive pig but luckily she just walked on without any problems.

Reyburn House Gallery for the opening of Collaboration arts New Zealand exhibition great pieces of art, good food and company. Definitely worth a visit over the next 3 weeks.

Northland is so dry we have had no significant rainfall for over 3 months no green grass for us this summer let's hope we get rain soon as the Farmers are desperate

Look at what was knocking at 0730 this morning not just the cat but Dolly the duck as we have now named her. At least she waddled back leading the way to her feeding spot and stays there until her next feeding time

This Crazy wild duck who arrived just after Christmas while we were weeding flew away and has had the cheek to return and boldly walked straight through the front door past the guard dogs to demand her food.
