I’ve enjoyed the wonderful company of Hely and John from Bella Wind Accommodation, in the Hunter Valley near Sydney.

I booked them onto the Glass Bottom Boat Tours and they saw whales 🐳 swimming in Mercury Bay!
How good is that! 🐋

A little appreciation post for the rivers of Hauraki Coromandel 💙

The swimming holes, picnic spots, walking tracks, hidden corners and places we always seem to end up on a sunny day.

Pretty lucky to have these running through our backyard.

Looking north along the Coromandel coast… 🌊📷

One of those views that reminds you just how much coastline there is to explore around the Coromandel Peninsula.

Looking north along the coast, it’s a wonderful mixture of sweeping bays, headlands, beaches and hills disappearing away into the distance.

And right up towards the top of the photograph is Whangamatā — looking remarkably small from this far away.

The Kiwi Photographer spent a bit of time travelling around this coastline recently, and said “seeing it stretched out in front of you like this gives you a rather different sense of the place.”

There’s always another bay around the corner. 😊📷

Hello! My guests are acknowledged and thanked for their time at my B&B.
I’ve just spent a week at a gorgeous resort in Vanuatu and they sang songs as we boarded the boat back to Espiritu Santo island.

I’m not sure my guests would like my singing but I could try!
Maybe …
Ok … possibly not …
