Millennium Resort Salalah Welcomes University of Technology and Applied Science (UTAS) College of Tourism and Hospitality Students for Field Visits and Lecture Engagements
Millennium Resort Salalah proudly hosted a series of academic collaborations with the College of Tourism and Hospitality at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), strengthening the bridge between academic learning and real world hospitality practices.
• 14 April 2026 – Front Office Operations Visit Students from UTAS visited the resort to gain hands on exposure to Front Office operations. They were warmly welcomed by General Manager Mr. Alaa Selim and introduced to our Omani Managers. The visit provided valuable insights into guest service procedures, reservation systems, and the operational flow of the department.
• 17 April 2026 – Guest Lecture at UTAS General Manager Mr. Alaa Selim was invited to UTAS to deliver a lecture on hospitality and hotel operations. Attended by students of the College of Tourism and Hospitality, the session offered an in depth perspective on industry practices, leadership, and evolving standards of guest experience.
• 20 April 2026 – Food & Beverage Department Visit The students returned to Millennium Resort Salalah for their next field visit, focusing on the Food & Beverage department. They toured the hotel’s facilities to familiarize themselves with dining services, kitchen coordination, and guest engagement within the F&B division.
