Tucked away in the jungle of Isla Bastimentos and high up on the hill leading out of the charming Caribbean village of Old Bank, Free Spirit Inn is your new sanctuary of peace and tranquility. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding islands and let the flora and fauna of the jungle be your soundtrack for a relaxing getaway on a tropical island. If you're looking for an authentic Caribbean experience, than look no further than the town of Old Bank, in Isla Bastimentos. There are no motor vehicles, paved roads and the air is filled with the smells of coconut rice, reggae music and Guari-Guari. Guari-Guari is a creole language of Bocas del Toro that descends from Jamaican English (Patois). The island of Bastimentos offers a relaxed and lazy getaway with a splash of tropical adventure and local live Caribbean music. You are neighbor to monkeys, sloths, countless species of exotic birds, sea turtles and of course the famous Panamanian Red Frog. Visiting Bastimentos you will be impressed by the lovely community, stunning beaches, bustling jungle and marine life, as well as world-class surfing. Help us plan your adventures as we have contacts with all the best tour operators for activities such as sailing, surfing, fishing, snorkeling, horseback riding, kayaking, zip-lining, scuba-diving, jungle hikes, ATV rentals, Spanish lessons, chocolate tours, native villages, dolphin tours and bat cave tours. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on restaurants, bars and places to shop. If Bastimentos doesn't have it, Bocas Town on the main island of Colon is only a 7 minute boat ride away. Don't hesitate in letting us know how we can make your experience at Free Spirit Inn everything you expected and more. So drop your bags, unwind and let the relaxation begin at Free Spirit Inn.
