The small details make the difference. At Doña Mara Beach House we invite you to find the stories in every corner!

Bocas del Toro’s colorful history and heritage surrounds us and is reflected most beautifully in the community of Bocas, in our people. We hope you feel the colors of Bocas and Panama throughout the beach house hotel, where we draw on our Panamanian and Bocatorenian heritage. Whether it’s the Mola cushion covers in our Beachside Bedrooms, or the brightly coloured material used for our beach chairs – this is the material traditionally used by the Naso community for their clothing.

We won’t bore you with all the details – but everything here has been done with care, and everything has a story. When you’re here, feel free to ask us as many questions and let the storytelling commence…

Creativity … and fun … plated.

Fried green banana with bean and coconut milk mousse, topped with pickled cabbage and smoked pork tail. Creation of onsite restaurant , led by chef – each dish and Beach Bite inspired by people, family and colors of the Caribbean.

Afropanamanian cuisine based in cultural heritage, with a contemporary twist.
