The eve of the Holy Trinity, begins with the celebration of the well-known Devil Encuetao, where the dirty diabolics come out to dance. They leave the barracks of the National Police and make cross symbols, after this act the rest of the dirty devils go out to dance together with the anda of the most holy trinity: father, son and holy spirit.
The celebration of the corpus continues next Wednesday with the tradition of the Cuarteada del sol and Thursday is the main day of Corpus Christi.
This inherited tradition in La Villa since colonial times, extends until June 29 & 30, where one day is dedicated to tourism and the last day dedicated to the Santeña woman.
