Across the Andes, August is a sacred month dedicated to Pachamama, the source of life, nourishment, and abundance.

Though often called a “payment to the Earth,” this tradition is really an expression of gratitude. Through ceremonies like the despacho, we offer gifts from nature as a heartfelt thank you.

This week, we gathered as a Munay Sonqo family to hold our own despacho… flowers, seeds, and intention, offered in reciprocity with the land that holds us.

But gratitude isn’t just for one day. All month, we’re invited to pause and honor our relationship with the Earth, in your own way, wherever you are.

The ancestral medicine of cacao opened our hearts to receive with greater clarity what the soul longs to express. Then, the body took the lead in an Ecstatic Dance session… a channel for liberation, joy, and authenticity.
