Manor House Lima offers a unique dwelling experience in a recently renovated one-of-a-kind building, located in the residential yet touristic old neighborhood of Miraflores, Lima. In 2009 when we bought the property, we immediately thought that the six units would make perfect apartments for short-term rentals, not only because of their strategic location for visitors but also because the building itself is a cultural reference of Lima’s mid-nineteenth-century architecture.
This tranquil property is situated only two blocks away from the lovely Domodossola Park, the coastal cliffs and the Larcomar Shopping and Entertainment Center, and minutes away from the popular Kennedy Park and the Inka Market. The district of Barranco is only a 10 minute walk and Downtown Lima is a 20 minute drive away.
As you will appreciate during your stay in Lima, almost no buildings from this period remain in town. In fact, our building could have been easily replaced by a higher and more profitable construction. Luckily we are in love with the property and we believe in preserving the urban landscape, so we remodeled the units and kept the original materials whenever possible. With the same goal in mind, we invest regularly in maintenance.
Décor of the accommodations is in keeping with the look and traditional feel of the building—high ceilings, large windows, loads of natural light and the warm ambience of polished wood floors. Each of the spacious apartments has been individually designed and comprises of a master bedroom with queen-size bed, another bedroom with two twin beds, separate living/dining area, modern bathroom with shower/tub combination or shower, and a kitchen equipped with cookware, utensils, dinnerware, glassware and all the usual appliances. Fine quality all-cotton linens and towels are provided, all apartments have TV with cable channels. Guests have access to a cozy rooftop lounge with comfy seating, a BBQ grill and wonderful views of the neighborhood. Free wireless Internet connection is available throughout the property.
