Our Story

THE SPACE...... ALSO WE INVITE VOLUNTEER WORK, SEND MESSAGE IF INTERESTED. We have an awesome hostal on the point, in front of the third section. CHICAMA POINT is so long that we cannot see the beginning of the wave from our hostal. However the 3rd section is the fastest, hollowest and most challenging section to reach. It’s a great place to be and to capture on videos and photos. We also have the café/restaurant as well which offers a simple menu of burritos, tacos, burgers, muffins and more. The building has 3 floors. The restaurant and the owners residence(me) on 1st floor. The majority of the rooms are on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor has four rooms and a communal balcony. The entire fourth floor is a large terraces, partly covered. There is a fifth floor tiny terrace. These are great and secure for photos/videos if you have expensive camera equipment. GUEST ACCESS Guests can relax on the third and fourth floor terraces. We have a clothes line for drying wetsuits on the top floor. ON THE FIRST FLOOR THERE IS ALSO AN EXTRA BATHROOM. Since there is a shared bathroom for 4 rooms we provide this second bathroom as well for when the rooms fill up even though we are rarely ever full. It is on the first floor which can be convenient when entering from the beach. The bathrooms are spacious and simple with a shower , toilet, and sink. We have kitchen access for all guests on the second floor. The dormitorio has a private bathroom and the same shared kitchen as the others have. We have wifi/internet on all floors. The building has video surveillance cameras in many common areas for security purposes. These do wonders for misplaced items and general security. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We interact very little with our guests, but are always available. I and my 2 sons are usually plenty busy keepin things in order so there is little time for socializing. I may be a bit slow, so the more advance notice we have for any request the more we can satisfy our clients needs in a timely manner. My intentions are to be available forall your needs but not to bother the guests. Our prices will reflect a fair balance in this small town. Whatever your needs or desires are please ask and we will do whatever we can to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Boat rental contacts are available as is anything you can desire. Surfboard and wetsuit rentals are available within the hostal, and within a few blocks are more. Sheets will be washed once a week unless needed sooner. One towel per guest upon request.

Chicama can be fairly laid along with its people people and many of them surf. More and more kids are learning every year. Peru can be a very dangerous place, i can guarantee you need to watch your stuff and watch your back. Chicama has 2 main surf breaks, The point and The Cape. The point is the famous , longest wave in the world. The cape is just a 100 meters further and it is also an incredible left point a little shorter of a ride. Much further out is a place called, La Punta. This is a left point as well but rarely surfed. After that theres miles and miles of desolate beach breaks. There is plenty of local farms so fresh vegetables and fresh fruit are cheap and easy to find. GETTING AROUND Everyone uses the 3 wheel moto taxis to get around town. Anywhere thats more than 30 minutes, people take the bus. theres only one bus company in and out of chicama, it is DORADO, it leaves every 30 minutes or so and goes to trujillo with plenty of stops along the way. There is an abundance of taxis if you want a bit more privacy and control of your outings. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE Whatever your needs or desires are please ask and we will do whatever we can to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Boat rental contacts are available. Surfboard and wetsuit rentals are available within the hostal but minimal. HOUSE RULES Kids are welcome, so let's all respect family values and keep things decent. Any children and/or their accompanying adult will need to be responsible for the actions of the children. Young children must be attended by an adult at all times. This is important. There are many unsafe things in Peru like, electrical, animals, insects, broken glass on the beach , fast uncaring drivers, etc, etc, . 1. No drugs, no late and loud partying, no fighting, no drunken brawls. Just all the basic common sense respect for others please. Obviously if you want to party you are welcome to, its just not the environment we are advertising. We cannot allow visitors AFTER 9:00PM. Please keep this in mind. 2. There is no smoking permitted anywhere on the premises and especially in the rooms. There is NO smoking on the terraces or open air spaces as well. The nearest fire dept is a million miles away. its hot and very dry so no smoking is best. 3. We will need to make a copy of your passport or government ID to keep on file. This is for our protection as well as yours. 4. We do not allow pets.

5. Los Burritos Inn locks its doors around 9:00 pm. . We advise against being out after midnight, however if you want/need to be out later please advise us before so we can make the necessary arrangements. 6. Community kitchen is strictly for use by registered guests only, and you must wash whatever you use so it is clean and available for the next guest.
