Hotel Tambo Del Valle opened in September of 2016. Ten rooms are available. Our Hotel offers clean modern rooms, at a reasonable price. We have very comfortable beds. All rooms have WIFI Internet Service. Cable TV in all rooms. All Rooms have a private bathroom. The hot water is supplied by 2 gas fired hot water boilers. The Hotel Water supply is filtered through multiple filter systems, then purified with Ultra Violet light water sterilization units. Almost all of the regional municipal water supplies in Peru are not filtered. The quality of the water is good, but still raw river water. The water comes from small rivers systems in the mountains. Our Hotel has safe water supplied to all rooms and the kitchen.
The Hotel has a restaurant, that serves breakfast from 5:30 am to 9:30 am.
Hotel Tambo Del Valle is located in Av. Sr. Torrechayoc 613 in Urubamba Peru. Local markets and a Historical Church are within walking distance. Urubamba is the main market town in the Sacred Valley. Local Transportation Center is a 10 minute walk, or 5 minutes by motor taxi. The Train Station in Ollantaytambo is 20 minutes by Taxi. There is a Train Station in Urubamba, but it has only one train scheduled each day. The Ollantaytambo Train station has many trains all day , going to Machu Picchu. Ollantaytambo is 20 minutes by taxi, from Urbamba.
The climate is warmer in Urubamba than Cusco. Urubamba’s elevation is 9500 feet of elevation. Cusco is 11200 feet of elevation.
Most Tourists hire a taxi service for a day, to visit the Historical sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We can give an estimate of the daily fee for a taxi. A guide tour of the historical sites are available with an english speaking Peruvian Shaman.
Airport pickup bus service from the airport to Urubamba is available. The cost of airport shuttle service is based on time of day, and size of the tourist group. The distance from the airport in Cusco to Urubamba is 65 kilometers, or 40 miles.
