A hotel with a true heart and soul, Sol y Luna was founded in order to sustain a school for local children This unique property is an intimate 43-casitas hotel located in the Sacred Valley of The Incas which is in the midpoint between Cusco City and Machu Picchu within 328,000 square feet of beautiful gardens surrounded by archaeological attractions, and many opportunities of outdoo

r activities. We offer 15 high end luxury Casitas with private terraces and plunge pools overlooking the gardens. They all have an entry porch, foyer, living room and are equipped with heating floor system and fireplace. All the decoration of the hotel is based on the art work of renowned Peruvian artists. Inside the Casitas, the Peruvian theme continues with fine, handmade local furniture, exquisite bed linen made from 100% high density cotton, local tapestries and beautiful frescoed murals by acclaimed artist, Federico Bauer which makes them all really special and unique. The marble bathrooms with double vanity, L Occitan amenities, sink and soaking tubs with an outstanding view to the mountains and gardens were designed at detail to fully indulge our guests. We also offer 28 standard casitas, little houses equipped with, marble bathrooms, heating system and private terraces overlooking the gardens. A typical day in the Sacred Valley is quite adventurous, our guests spend the day walking, trekking climbing, exploring, therefore our incredible spa is the perfect place to end the day.

‘Being in the mountains has been part of my life since I was a child. It has always given me a sense of adventure, freedom, and perspective. During this scouting trip, I had the chance to explore new routes, remote places, and incredible landscapes that felt deeply connected to the nature, culture, and spirit of the Andes. Experiences like this remind me how much beauty there is still left to discover.’ -

Thomas was born in Cuzco, educated at the Sol y Luna School (part of founded by his parents, Petit and Franz) and is now an athlete for and the founder of Viento Sur, our activity centre.

Viento Sur takes guests to some of the family’s favourite spots, as well as new, undiscovered areas which Thomas loves to discover.
