Never wrap the right side over the left. Wrapping a yukata or kimono right-over-left is traditionally reserved for dressing the deceased for burial, so it is considered a major cultural faux pas.
The golden rule of wearing a yukata is always left over right. When the front of the garment is closed, the left side should be folded on top of the right side, creating a natural fold.
