Backstory. My Wedding gift experience.

I forgot my gold necklace with cross pendant after nitong maputol. Nilagay ko lang sa bulsa, not knowing, nagpalaundry ko siya. The following day, after maligo, narealize ko nawawala. Dumiretso ako agad sa Laundry shop. Nireport ang nangyari. While cruising around legazpi, nainvovle sa isang minor car accident. And then asked the lady for ID. She gave me a solo parent id. And there. Nagtapos kami saying. Ingat siya. Few minutes, may tumawag text, nakuha nya daw ang necklace ko. At meet kami at ibabalik niya. Sobraaaaang bilis sinagot agad ni God dasal ko. Then pumunta ulit kami sa laundry shop tutulungan nila ako hanapin pendant. Shout out sa owners sir Ace and Maam Gie. For extending and accomodating me. Sobraaaaang abala ginawa ko sainyo.na mag stop operations para tulungan ako. Nung wala na tayo nakita, mas pinagpasadiyos ko nalang. At ayun na nga. Ngayong hapon, nakatanggap ulit ako ng message sa isa ninyong staff at nakita at ibabalik ang pendant!

Shoutout sa staffs ng Ola Labada for being super honest. Lalo sa panahon ngayong malayong malayo ang mararating ng halaga nung kwintas at pendant. Mas pinili ninyong ibalik at maging totoo!

Pagdamutan ninyo ang maliit kong pasasalamat sa napakalaking ginawa ninyo para saakin... Walang hanggang pasasalamat!

This coming November 28โ€“30, 2026, the Backpackers of the Philippines (BOP) will bring HEAL Pinas: The Heritage of Malolos to our partner communities in Malolos, Bulacan. This is more than a trip. It is a three-day outreach, environmental, and heritage program dedicated to helping children and communities while celebrating our love for the Philippines.

Watching my two boys embrace the spirit of Help Explore Appreciate Love Pinas fills my heart with so much pride and gratitude.

As their parent, I am grateful to walk beside them on this journeyโ€”exploring beautiful places, appreciating our rich culture and heritage, and learning to love our country even more with every experience we share together.

What makes me happiest is seeing them not just join the advocacy, but truly live it. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and genuine appreciation for the people and places we encounter show that the values behind Help Explore Appreciate Love Pinas are taking root in their hearts.

Moments like these remind me that advocacy begins at home. Seeing my boys embrace this mission so naturally makes me one proud parent.
