Ang HONEY ng Century Tree Highlands siguradong Authentic Wild Honey!
A scientific study by the Department of Science and Technology Philippine Nuclear Research Institute has revealed that a significant portion of honey products sold in Philippine markets may not be pure. Researchers found that at least three out of four commercially available brands are either partially or fully adulterated with sugar syrup, despite being labeled as natural honey. Using advanced nuclear based and analytical techniques, scientists were able to accurately verify authenticity, exposing widespread food adulteration and raising concerns about consumer protection and product integrity.
Experts emphasize that the issue goes beyond misleading labels, as adulterated honey lacks many of the nutritional and antimicrobial benefits of genuine honey. This not only affects public health but also places local beekeepers at a disadvantage, as authentic products struggle to compete with cheaper, diluted alternatives. Researchers are urging stronger regulation, stricter testing standards, and better public awareness to protect consumers and support the country’s legitimate honey industry.
