Casa Amparo Pension House - Bacolod City A home away from home... Built in the early postwars years by Engineer Deogracias Estrella, Sr.

for his wife, Amparo Cordova, on what used to be part of a coconut plantation that she inherited from her mother, Graciana Medel. In this house of the finest hardwood from the deep forest of Mindanao, they raised three sons and a daughter. In the sunset of their lives these same walls vibrated with the boisterous laughter of their beloved grandchildren. Converted into a pension house in 1996 by their daughter, Sonia Estrella - de la Rosa, this gracious home offers to visitors of the City of Smiles, fifteen comfortably furnished airconditioned rooms with cable TV, private bath, and hot showers as their home away from home.
