OSMEÑA PROPOSES ANTI-NOISE ORDINANCE

Cebu City Vice Mayor Tomas Osmeña proposed an Anti-Noise Ordinance, aiming to address the long-standing noise concerns in the city.

In a press conference earlier today, January 22, Osmeña shared that the notion came up amid the numerous complaints he received through text from citizens, particularly work-from-home employees and students.

The vice mayor asserted that the worsening noise concerns, mostly caused by karaoke, have negatively affected and inconvenienced thousands of individuals working in the comfort of their homes.

A public hearing will be scheduled soon to gather the propositions and reactions of citizens from various sectors regarding the matter.
