One glance at a guestโ€™s slippers by the door, and suddenly I was transported back to a different timeโ€”when the house was never quiet, when siblings, relatives, and cousins filled every room with laughter, endless conversations, and the kind of chaos that somehow felt like home.

But as the years passed, everyone grew up. Priorities changed, people moved away, and the gatherings became less frequent. The noise that once filled the house slowly faded, replaced by memories that now visit unexpectedly.

Itโ€™s funny how something as ordinary as slippers at the door can bring all of that backโ€”a small reminder of a season in life when the house was full, the days were longer, and siblings, relatives, and cousins were always just a room away.
