ROAD SPEED LIMIT IN BAGUIO 🚗

Mayor Benjamin Magalong has directed the Baguio City Police Office to intensify its crackdown on overspeeding vehicles following numerous complaints about taxi drivers.

Under Ordinance No. 18, series of 2019, speed limits are set at:
*20 kph within the Central Business District and major roads, and
*30 kph on inner roads.

The BCPO and other agencies will deploy speed monitoring devices such as speed guns and radar sensors. The mayor emphasized that strict enforcement of these measures is necessary to protect public safety and prevent further traffic-related injuries and fatalities.

Northern Blossom Flower Farm is one of Atok, Benguet’s most loved scenic attractions, known for its colorful terraced gardens set against sweeping mountain views. Sitting about 2,300 meters above sea level, the 2-hectare farm offers a cool, misty climate and moments when clouds drift below the hills, earning it the popular “sea of clouds” reputation.

Located in Barangay Paoay, Atok, the farm is around a three-hour drive from Baguio City, making it an easy and rewarding side trip for travelers heading to the northern part of Benguet. Visitors are greeted by neatly arranged rows of flowers such as sunflowers, petunias, delphiniums, and the farm’s signature rose cabbages, which have become a favorite subject for photos.

The best time to visit is early in the morning, when the views are clearer, the air is crisp, and crowds are thinner. Peak bloom season usually falls between January and April, when the gardens are at their most vibrant. The entrance fee typically comes with simple complimentary snacks like bread and coffee, adding a warm, homey touch to the experience.

Opened by its owners,Ms. Melany “Lany” Ganayan and her husband, as a way to share the beauty of their agricultural land, Northern Blossom Flower Farm has grown into a must-visit destination in the Cordillera, perfect for travelers looking for fresh air, stunning views, and a peaceful escape in the highlands.
