Baguio Highlight : BAMBOO ECO PARK
Not sure about the Japan vibe or Japan feels or Kyoto feels, but that’s how visitors describe it, though we know that bamboos are endemic to and can be found anywhere in the Philippines. But perhaps, it’s the park’s nice assemblage of these tall grasses plus the cool climate that gives its invigorating “Japan feels" to it.
The Bamboo Eco Park is situated inside St. Francis Xavier Seminary in Liteng Road, Pacdal, Baguio City. It is a nice quiet place to meditate. There are different kinds of bamboo in this park from tall ones that shades the sunny blue skies to small types.
Visitors can drop by from 8 PM to 9 PM daily. Entry is free but donation would be nice for the up keep of the place.
Perhaps, after visiting The Mansion House and Wright Park, you can do a side trip to the Baguio Bamboo Sanctuary with your outfit of the day and capture that perfect Japan-feels selfies.
HOW TO GET THERE?
For DIY travelers, take a jeepney bound to Pacdal-Liteng. The jeepney terminal is located at E. Jacinto Str, the street sandwiched by Metrobank and Zenco Footstep, along Magsaysay Ave. adjacent Baguio Public Market.
