You are afraid of losing your grip.

In John 10, Jesus describes Himself as the Shepherd who knows His sheep and keeps them.

He says, “no one will sn**ch them” out of His hand. That promise is not based on how tightly we can hold on to Him, but on how faithfully He holds on to us.

This matters on mornings when your patience feels thin, your prayers feel weak, or your responsibilities feel bigger than your strength.

Your safety is not in your perfect grip.

Weak hands, still held.
Small faith, still known.
Tired heart, still kept.

The Shepherd does not let go of His own.

Prayer:

Jesus, You know where I feel weak and where I am afraid of losing my grip.

Hold me close today and remind me that my safety rests in Your faithful hand.

Help me listen to Your voice and follow You one step at a time.

Amen.

You woke up with your head low.
Psalm 3 was written from a painful place.

David was surrounded by trouble, and even the people around him were saying there was no help for him in God.

But David answered with faith: “you, LORD, are a shield around me.” He did not deny the fear. He remembered who was protecting him in the middle of it.

Then he called God the One who lifts his head. That is a tender promise for mornings when discouragement makes you look down before the day even begins.

Low, but not abandoned.
Pressed, but not defeated.
Weary, but still shielded.

Let God lift your head today.

Prayer:
Lord, You see the discouragement I carry this morning.

Be my shield when fear, pressure, or painful words surround me.

Lift my head with Your presence, and help me face this day knowing my help still comes from You.

Amen.

Saturday reminders😇

You feel undeserving of gentleness today.
Psalm 36 begins by naming the darkness of human hearts, but it does not end there.

David turns his eyes to God and says, “How priceless is your unfailing love.” Then he adds that people take refuge in the shadow of His wings.

That means God’s shelter is not only for the strong, the confident, or the ones who feel spiritually ready.

His refuge is rooted in love that does not run out. Even on a gray morning, even with a tired heart, you can come near.

Not perfect, but welcomed.
Not strong, but sheltered.
Not forgotten, but loved.

Prayer:
Lord, I come to You with the parts of me that feel tired, weak, or undeserving.

Remind me that Your shelter is rooted in unfailing love, not in my ability to hold everything together.

Let my heart rest under Your care today, and teach me to receive Your gentleness with faith.
Amen.

Resilience ❣️

𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬

On July 16, 1990 at 4:26 PM, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Luzon, with its epicenter in Rizal, Nueva Ecija. Numerous aftershocks followed and the strongest was recorded at 3:15 AM on July 18, 1990, with a magnitude of 5.3.

The quake devastated Central and Northern Luzon, with Baguio City recording the most fatalities, with an estimated 1,600. Hence, earning the disaster the grim moniker "Baguio Killer Earthquake".

36 years later, the disaster remains etched in memory as one of the deadliest natural disasters in Philippine history. Today, we remember the story of our city and the stories of those who endured the tragedy.
