𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗔 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗦 on Oct 16-17

Portions of Session Road, Harrison Road, Magsaysay Avenue and Gov. Pack Road will be closed to vehicular traffic at specified times on October 16-17 to accommodate the Cordillera Festival of Festivals 2026, including the parade, program and event preparations.

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong issued Executive Order No. 154, series of 2026, setting the road closures and directing concerned city government offices to provide the necessary support for the event.

The following closures will be implemented:

October 16-17, 5 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The portion of upper Session Road parallel to Post Office Loop, below the Session Road rotunda, will be closed for the dry run, dress rehearsals and stage setup. Fr. Carlo St. to Gov. Pack Road and Session Road going up to Luneta Drive will remain open to traffic.

October 17, 12 midnight to 12 noon
The portion below the Session Road rotunda ending at the Post Office pedestrian lane, and the Session Road going up from the Calderon St. intersection with Skyworld toward a portion of Gov. Pack Road in front of 7-Eleven, will be closed for the ingress and setup of tents for the delegates’ area.

October 17, 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
The Harrison Road lane beside the Melvin Jones Grandstand, passing through Magsaysay Avenue in front of Maharlika; the left lane of Session Road going up beside Malcolm Square toward Porta Vaga; and the portion up to Post Office Park will be closed for the arrival and assembly of delegates and parade formation.

The Fr. Carlo Loop–Session Road will also be closed during the morning parade and will be reopened immediately afterward to allow vehicles to proceed toward lower Session Road.

October 17, 9 a.m. to 12 noon
The portion below the Session Road rotunda ending at the Post Office pedestrian lane, and the Session Road going up from Calderon St. intersection with Skyworld toward the portion of Gov. Pack Road in front of 7-Eleven, will be closed for the festival program proper.

October 17, 12 noon to 5 p.m.
The same portions will remain closed to allow the egress of the stage, tents and other event materials.

The city government advised motorists and commuters to take note of the scheduled closures and plan their trips accordingly.

The Cordillera Festival of Festivals, mainly facilitated by the Department of Tourism-Cordillera, is in its fifth year and will showcase the region’s cultural diversity through a parade of festivals and other activities. Baguio will host this year’s celebration on October 17, with the parade traversing designated portions of Harrison Road, Magsaysay Avenue and Session Road before culminating at upper Session Road.

The road closures are being implemented to ensure the orderly and safe conduct of the event, which is part of efforts to promote the Cordillera’s cultural heritage and tourism destinations. – Dexter A. See
