In view of the potential impact of Typhoon Uwan, and as part of the government’s proactive disaster risk reduction efforts, the Department of Public Works and Highways – Cordillera Administrative Region (DPWH-CAR), in coordination with the Tuba Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and the Metro Baguio, La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba, and Tublay Development Authority (MBLISTTDA), hereby announces that 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙣 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙚𝙨 𝙤f 𝙫𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙪𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙤f 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙮 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 as a preventive safety measure against any accidents that may arise from possible landslides, rockfalls, and debris flow along the road during adverse weather conditions brought about by Typhoon Uwan.

The public is strongly advised to avoid travel along Kennon Road and to closely monitor official advisories from DPWH-CAR, MDRRMO Tuba, and other concerned authorities for updates on road status and weather developments.

Further, the public is strictly enjoined to adhere to safety and precautionary measures to assure the preservation of life and property. Your compliance is mandatory and directly supports the safety and security of the entire community. Public safety remains our paramount priority.
